I am searching for information pertaining to my 4ggfather whose
name was James RADCLIFF-WILSON, b. 1747 in Virginia. The WILSON
name was dropped according to family information and RADCLIFF or
a variant of was used. He had a son WILLIAM RATCLIFF or RATLIFF
who was elected Constable of Pike County in 1822. As the story
goes, James was the son of one Robert WILSON and Jane
"Jennie" RADCLIFF, b. 1700 and 1710, both in England.
Any information / confermation (of William) appreciated. Thanks
in advance
