MULLINS - I am seeking information on my Great Great Grandfather
Isham Mullins who's wife was named Candacy (Dacy). They were
suppose to have been married in Pike County Ky on 30 Oct 1838
(Can someone vertify this). Her father is suppose to be Benjamin
Osborn(e) and his is suppose to be Ambrose (un-vertified). They
are listed in the 1850 Tazewell County census along with their
children Jackson, Martha, Mary, and Esaw. Who was Isham's father
and where was he born? Was it Ambrose? I am also seeking
information on his son (My Great Grand Father) Esau who's wife
was name Nancy Cooper. Nancy Cooper's parents were David and
Polly Cooper. They had five sons named Jackson (Jack My
Grandfather born 1892), Elihu, Ruel, Ely, and Levi. They also had
girls named Martha A.(Mattie), Mary, Eda, and Manda. Martha was
married to a man who's surname was Bowman. The Mullins family
lived in a place called Spruce Pine which is located near Grundy
Va, Buchanan County. They also lived in McDowell county WVa and
its also possible Pike County Ky. I think most of the boys were
farmers and lumbermen and make have worked for WM Ritter Lumber
Company. I am also seeking information on Isaiah and Sally Muncy
who were the parents of my Grand Mother (Celie Muncy/Mullins).

BURRIS - I am looking for information about my mother's Pike Co
family, starting with her maternal grandparents (with whom she
grew up). Their names were George W. Burris and Hannah (Smith)
Burris. My grandmother was Mintie Burris (married John B. Lowe,
also a local family). Mother is 94 years young, and still able to
live alone and do a little gardening. She lives just minutes from
me and we are trying to put together some family information for
her descendents, about 120 of us. I don't know how much I'm
supposed to ask this first time so hope you can give me some good
advice.

gg-grandparents Samuel P. THOMPSON b. abt 1824 and Sarah J.
(WELCH) THOMPSON b. abt 1831, both were born in Ashe Co., NC.

FOLLOWAY - Trying to find info on my gg-grandmother Esther
(HATFIELD) FOLLOWAY b. abt 1852 in Ky married Samuel FOLLOWAY 12
May 1870 in Pike Co., Ky at her father's house Valentine
HATFIELD. Esther and Samuel had 10 children: Mary, Nancy, Sarah,
Lear, Wayne, William, Samuel Jr., Lilburn, John and Basil(my
g-grandfather). Samuel was b. abt 1850 in Ky and d. 7 November
1912 in Wayne Co., WV. They lived in Wayne Co., WV. From land
deeds Esther was alive in 1913. Would like to know when and where
she died, if she may have moved back to Pike co., Ky before her
death. Have not been able to find any death record on her in
Wayne Co., WV. I do know that they are both buried in their
homeplace cemetery in Wayne Co., WV located on Creig Rd. Any help
would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

SCALF - I am looking for information on the Williamson's,
Scalf's, Ray's and other names linking with these from Pike
County. Jonah(?) Williamson (mid-1800's?)was a baptist minister,
had a son Jonah(?), who married Vicie Ray. Vicie's father was
Perry Ray, who may have changed his name from Raymond Perry upon
leaving S. Carolina. Henry Scalf married unknown Smith, had a
daughter, Maude b.1899 d.1977, who married Troy Williamson b.1905
d.1981, son/grandson of Jonah Williamson. I believe Troy
& Maude were married in Pike County, later moving to
Williamson, W. Virginia, and then to Marysville/Port Huron,
Michigan after their children (Golda, Elizabeth, Troy Jr.) were
grown.

HUGHES - I am looking for the John Henry Hughes. Born 1883 and
died 1951. He married Sidney Jude 1901 to 1994. My mother-in-law
believes John was born around Louisa. His parents names are John
Henry Hughes and Lucille Jobe. The subject John Hughes died in
Pike Co. Kentucky where he spent time farming. It is said he was
married once before he married Sidney Jude no name of that spouse
can be recalled. Other names in this query are Chafin who married
the daughter of John Henry-Ruby Hughes married James Chafin of
Pike Co. Kentucky or maybe Mingo Co. West Virginia. James'
parents names were Ance Chafin and Effie Blair. Any information

Elizabeth ? James Milton Chaffin's brother, Harvey married Mary

(Coe) Sanders. ADKINS: Jesse Hubert Chaffin married Clementina
"Tina"; Adkins, daughter of William Tolbert and Martha
Ann (Adkins) Adkins. Their parents were Allen and Frances

12/2/54 the certificates states b: unknown about 80 years of age.

FARMER - I am looking for any information on James M. FARMER who

Pike Co Kentucky. Both listed as being 24 years old, 1st marriage
. They are listed on the 1900 census for Pike Co with my
grandmother Gypsy Ann FARMER; 1 year old. I do know she had one
brother Willie FARMER. I have been unable to find the parents of
James M. On the marriage cert. it states that James M was born in
Pike Co, Ky and Mary Frances in Va. For birthplace of both bride
and groom's parents..a line is drawn through, indicating they

I am trying to make the connection between my grandfather MOSES
WILEY and JENNY SELLARDS WILEY . My grandfather died in 1940 and
is buried in Flat Gap Ky and was married to LUCINDA WRIGHT HALL
(HALL being her 1st marriage ) from which an only child ( mom )
CORA MAE WILEY was born in 1922. I am most interested in the male
descendants from JENNY and TOM WILEY in trying to make this link.
