James Ramey, Born in 1833 in VA or KY. On the 1860 census of Buchanan Co., VA, James was listed as a farmer. I'm searching for Peter Johnson and Susan Crabtree Johnson. It is said that Peter was born in 1827 in Pike County Kentucky. However, 1860 MO census records listed him as 40 years old at that time and born in VA. Could this be that Pike County used to be part of VA? The census records listed their children as Francisca 13, William James 12 (my ggggrandfather), Martha 10, Win 8, Gilbert 6 and Luiaster 3, all born in Pike County Kentucky. To Anyone, I am looking for any and all information on a one Charles Anderson (Sr.) who settled on Elkhorn Creek, Ky circa 1811. I believe him to be born c.1791, where I don't know, and having died circa Dec. ?, 1851. He had two wives , the first is sketchy with me not knowing her first name, but maiden name appears to have been Moore. By this marriage the children were: Isabella, Charles, Mary, John, Sclah, Hiram, and Jesse. All born from 1810 to 1826. Second wife was one Hannah Osborne White (widow of John White). This union produced the children: Alfred, Shadrach, Tabitha, Jephta, and Sylvester all being born between 1843 to 1850. I can't find anything from here on back, I need to find out where Charles Anderson (Sr.) came from. Any and all information will be greatly appreciated.
